Memur bir babanın ve ev hanımı bir annenin üçüncü evladıyım. 6 ve 13 yaşında sağlıklı bir abim ve ablam var.
Ben daha 20 günlük iken hastanede topuktan alınan kan ile SMA-Tip 1 tanısı aldım. Başta ellerimi, ayaklarımı ve boynumu hareket ettirmekte zorlandım, ancak fizik tedaviyle hareketlerimi geri kazanmaya başladım. Bu süreçte kollarımda dönmeler oldu, fizik tedavim devam ediyor.
Hastalığımın tek tedavisi, yurt dışındaki dünyanın en pahalı ilacı ZolgenSMA.
Ailem bu ilaca kendi imkanlarıyla ulaşamayacağı için Ağrı valiliği tarafından onaylanmış bir kampanya başlattı.

Hello, I am Kerem Beritan Özcan. I was born on 16 August 2024 in Ağrı.
I am the third child of a civil servant father and a housewife mother. I have a healthy brother and sister aged 6 and 13.
When I was only 20 days old, I was diagnosed with SMA-Type 1 with blood taken from the heel in the hospital. At first, I had difficulty in moving my hands, feet and neck, but I started to regain my movements with physical therapy. In this process, my arms rotated, my physical therapy continues.
The only treatment for my disease is ZolgenSMA, the world’s most expensive drug abroad.
Since my family cannot reach this drug with their own means, they started a campaign approved by the governorship of Ağrı.

Ich bin das dritte Kind eines Vaters, der Beamter ist, und einer Mutter, die Hausfrau ist, und habe einen gesunden Bruder und eine gesunde Schwester im Alter von 6 und 13 Jahren.
Als ich erst 20 Tage alt war, wurde bei mir im Krankenhaus durch eine Blutentnahme aus der Ferse SMA-Typ 1 diagnostiziert. Anfangs hatte ich Schwierigkeiten, meine Hände, Füße und meinen Hals zu bewegen, aber mit Hilfe von Krankengymnastik habe ich begonnen, meine Bewegungen wiederzuerlangen. Dabei haben sich meine Arme gedreht, meine Krankengymnastik geht weiter.
Die einzige Behandlung für meine Krankheit ist ZolgenSMA, das teuerste Medikament der Welt im Ausland.
