Elizabeth Johnson was the kind of person who always put everyone else before herself. She would go without if it meant her children or grandchildren had what they needed. She loved her family with her whole heart, and her kindness touched everyone who knew her. Her generosity and selflessness were felt by everyone in her life, and she always made sure her loved ones were cared for, even if it meant sacrificing her own needs.
Elizabeth bravely battled terminal COPD, but she didn’t tell us about her diagnosis. Instead, she spent her days with her grandchildren, making memories and giving them her love. Her illness caught us off guard, and losing her has left our family heartbroken. We are now facing the unexpected financial burden of laying her to rest. We must pay half of the funeral expenses before Thursday, and we simply don’t have the funds. Our mom did not have life insurance, so every expense must be paid out of pocket. This fundraiser will help us cover the costs and give her the dignified farewell she deserves.
