Some of my friends and family know that my sister in law Marcia Dias Lins Gaspar is facing the toughest battle of her life. She is 48 years old, a devoted mother to little Theo (5) and Lorena (7), and has always been full of life and determination.
Recently, Marcinha was diagnosed with advanced metastatic cancer. As if that weren’t enough, she also suffered a cardiac arrest, which left her with severe neurological damage and in a coma. Despite everything, we are holding on to hope that she can recover, wake up, and continue her fight against cancer.
Right now, Marcinha urgently needs medications and treatments that are not covered by insurance. The cost of care has already reached R$30,000 (around $6,000 USD) and continues to grow with ongoing medical needs and specialist support.
Her family is doing everything they can, but the financial burden is overwhelming. We’re reaching out to you for help. Any contribution—no matter how small—can make a huge difference in giving Marcinha a chance to heal and be with her children again.
