Hello, my name is Gary. I’m 41 years old, and for many years I proudly worked for the government fire department. I dedicated my life to saving others, never imagining that one day I’d be fighting for my own.
While on duty, I suffered a devastating accident that left me with severe burns all over my body. What began as a mission to protect others ended up shattering my life forever. The burns were third-degree, affecting much of my skin, my mobility, and my overall health. Since then, my life has changed radically.
I’ve undergone multiple surgeries, skin grafts, painful treatments, and a long physical and emotional recovery. I can no longer work as I used to, and many of my daily activities have become extremely difficult. Despite everything, I’m determined to keep going… but I need help.
Why am I asking for support?
The after-effects of burns are expensive and permanent. My treatment includes:
• Additional reconstructive surgeries.
• Physical and occupational therapies to regain mobility.
• Medications, creams, and special skin care.
• Psychological care to cope with the trauma.
• Prosthetics or adaptations needed to regain functionality.
In addition, daily expenses have accumulated due to my inability to work during this process.
How can you help?
• Any donation, no matter the amount, means a lot.
• Sharing this campaign with your friends, family, or on social media.
• Supporting me with your words and positive energy, which also heal.
I have always been there for others. Today, with humility, I ask you to be there for me. Help me rebuild not only my body, but also my life.
Thanks
