Michael Keele is easygoing and loved by everyone, always ready to help others. He shares a special bond with his loyal dog, Q-tip, and has always valued his independence. Recently, Michael faced a series of seizures caused by low sodium, which led to the discovery of underlying heart problems. As a double amputee, these new health challenges have made daily life even more difficult, forcing him to rely on others more than he’d like. Michael has always preferred to do things on his own, so needing extra help has been a big adjustment for him.
His current wheelchair is falling apart—the wheels come loose, and both the backrest and seat are tearing. This makes it risky for Michael to move around, and he has to be extra careful not to make the damage worse. It’s limiting his ability to care for himself and Q-tip, and it’s taking away the freedom he values so much.
With the support of his wife Sharon and myself as his caregivers, we’re doing everything we can, but a new wheelchair would make a world of difference. It would help Michael regain his independence, stay active, and get back to doing the things he loves. Your support will help give Michael the mobility and confidence he deserves during this challenging time.
