Hi everyone,
My daughter recently tested positive for SSA antibodies and has been diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases. Because of this, her pregnancy is now considered high-risk. These conditions can affect the baby’s heart—possibly requiring a pacemaker—and there’s also a higher risk for preeclampsia, abnormal growth, or even stillbirth.
We’ve also just learned that the baby’s kidneys are enlarged, which means even more monitoring and care will be needed. She now has to see both her OB and a maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialist much more often than originally expected.
The sudden increase in appointments, tests, and specialized care has made the medical bills incredibly difficult to manage. Any support—whether financial or simply sharing their story—means so much to our family as we walk through this challenging and emotional time.
Thank you all for your kindness, support, and prayers.
