Larry is my foster dad. When I was just 9 years old he took me off the streets and gave me a place to call home out of the goodness of his heart and has since made me the man that I am today! I find it incredibly frustrating that I cannot afford to return the favour in his time of need!
In June of 2024 Larry was diagnosed with kidney cancer and began immunotherapy in August. Fast forward to January 2025… after a CAT scan it was discovered that the cancer has spread to some lymph nodes. It was then that Larry began chemotherapy. Now after Larry’s most recent scan it showed that the cancer has continued to spread. Larry will begin another more intense round of chemotherapy this week
larry remains optimistic in his fight with cancer but has found that he no longer has the energy to make it up and down the long staircase at home safely without stopping 3 or 4 times on the way up risking safety daily just to exit or enter the home.
our local community has done everything they can to help but unfortunately it’s just not enough and we are asking for more assistance from the public to help get Larry the stairlift he needs to continue getting himself to treatment as we currently live on opposite sides of the country.
anything helps and we appreciate the way social media can impact the lives who need it the most! Thank you
