ENGLISH: My name is Camila and I am seeking help for my mother, Mariella Parodi. She is 49 years old, lives in Peru, and has been suffering from severe ulcerative colitis since the age of 29. Over the years, she has undergone many medical treatments to cope with this difficult disease, including a total colectomy 11 years ago.
Unfortunately, the colitis has returned more aggressively, and in Peru, there is very limited knowledge about this illness. The proper medications to treat it are also not available. She does not have international health insurance that would cover the high costs of her treatment. Until now, our family has covered all medical expenses privately, but it is becoming impossible to continue, especially since her condition has worsened and she is no longer able to work and earn enough to cover the costs.
Through our research, we have found that countries such as Italy, the United States, Argentina, and Chile offer specific treatments for ulcerative colitis that are not available in Peru. These treatments could allow her to continue enjoying life if she is able to receive them.
To make matters worse, just one week ago she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and is currently hospitalized, which has made our situation even more difficult.
I would like to ask for help from anyone who can support us in covering the high costs of treatment for both ulcerative colitis and leukemia, and help us overcome this very challenging time.

ESPAÑOL: Mi nombre Camila y busco ayuda para mi mamá Mariella Parodi, tiene 49 años, vive en Perú y desde los 29 años sufre de colitis ulcerativa severa, a lo largo de los años tuvo que realizar muchos tratamientos médicos para poder sobrellevar esta difícil enfermedad así como someterse a una colectomía total hace 11 años. Con el tiempo la colitis ha regresado con más fuerza y lamentablemente en el Perú no hay mucho conocimiento de esta enfermedad, tampoco se encuentran los medicamentos adecuado para poder tratarla, No cuenta con un seguro internacional con el que pueda cubrir los elevados costos de la enfermedad, hasta ahora hemos cubierto los gastos de manera particular como familia pero se está haciendo imposible seguir cubriéndolos ya que al empeorar la enfermedad no puede trabajar y producir lo suficiente para los gastos. Según hemos investigado en Italia, Estados Unidos, Argentina, Chile y algunos otros países se puede hallar tratamientos específicos para colitis ulcerativa que no hay en Perú lo que le permitiría poder seguir disfrutando de la vida si logra recibir los tratamientos adecuados. Para complicar más el panorama hace 1 semana le han diagnosticado Leucemia mieloide aguda y se encuentra internada en la clínica, lo que nos ha complicado mucho más todo. Quisiera pedir la ayuda de quien pueda apoyarnos para poder cubrir los elevados costos del tratamiento de la Colitis Ulcerativa así como de la Leucemia y ver si podemos superar esta difícil situación.
