It is with heaviness in my heart when writing this, this fundraiser is to support my 2 family members; my son’s mental health ASD and hearing issues and my Brother for this tragic sickness of his kidneys from last two years, March 2023.
Hi, my name is Melroy and I am Urgently trying to raise funds for my sons mental health and hearing issues as he wears headphones to cancel high sounds, He is on the Spectrum of high Function ASD, we need to move out from this apartment and move to a more lower floor or Ground Level to decrease the pressure in his ears but at the same time more closer to school which is now a 45 min drive one way.
Once that happens he will start to remove his headphones and then will be able to communicate better and then be able to even earn credits at school as now, the teachers are having a tough time communicating and thus he is not able to learn. He is a brilliant child and a little genius who has a memory of a mainframe computer and has memorized the entire Earth, cities, flags, countries etc. and can tell you in a second if you ask him. I call him my ‘Little Elon’ @elonmusk.
At the moment he lives in a 6×4′ closet and one of us takes turns being with him and especially at bedtime. Although this is not healthy too, we urgently need to move out soon.
The Emergency is that we have fallen behind on bills and to move from here will have to come up with nearly a full 10 months of rent in advance as Real estate agents are not able to help with a bad credit. A smaller budget of a 1 room + den to work from will be enough and will mainly help with my sons wellness he will be able to calm down and not get so much distress and be 10 min to school. Doctors says if he gets a rested sleep his health will get better.
At the same time my Bro who is undergoing Dialysis 3 times a week for his kidney function to be stable has also to undergo an operation when his kidney donor comes in and that also takes a lot of funds. This bro helped me when I had a problem in finances and now I want to help him back. He has been taking dialysis for the past 2 years as this happened when the medication for Covid-19 damaged his kidneys.
This bro had his two boys who caught Covid and were in hospital and when the boys got back then my bro was taken too as he tested positive and in a few days our Sister-in-law got severe breathing and Bronchitis but could not be taken to hospital until she tested positive, crucial time was wasted and when she was emergency taken to hospital but there were no beds. Finally they got a bed in a Covid center but it was too late and in two days she passed away in April 2021.
They had taken a loan to send one boy to study in Canada and she was the main payee on the loan and they have to pay the balance for the fees. Now he does not have enough to pay for his treatment as funds are depleted.
With a heavy heart and lots of anxiety I am praying hard to God for people to help so I can cover this amount so we can start a New life and get at least a 6 to 8 months of grace period for rent and also send money for my brother.
We are asking for donations to help us as for me I don’t know what will happen if I am not there for my son and as i am his only playmate, friend and Dad.
The money would be distributed among us, Put down for New rental place and some rent to the landlord (so I can live here untill Sept 3rd once school starts), medical bills for my bros so he does not have to stress to pay for his dialysis.
