Dear friends, neighbors, and kind strangers,
We are a Ukrainian family who came to Canada a year and a half ago under the CUAET program, trying to start over in safety and dignity. Today, we are asking for your help to save our daughter Yulia, a 25-year-old mother, wife, and beautiful soul who is now in critical condition in Ukraine.
Two weeks ago, Yulia was hospitalized with severe abdominal pain. Tragically, she was misdiagnosed and underwent a gynecological surgery — during which an ovary was sutured. The true cause of her condition, acute pancreatitis, was missed. As a result, it worsened into pancreonecrosis, a life-threatening complication.
She is now battling for her life.
In the past days, she has endured:
Blood transfusions,
Drainage of fluid from her lungs,
Insertion of a drainage system under her shoulder blade,
Emergency treatments to stabilize her condition.
Doctors are preparing for multiple complex surgeries. The situation is extremely serious.
Yulia has a 3-year-old son who needs his mother. Her husband is doing everything he can in Ukraine, while we support them from Canada — emotionally, logistically, and financially. But our resources are very limited. Our income here is still modest, and the costs for her treatment have already overwhelmed us.
We have already spent thousands on medication, procedures, and hospital care. But it’s not enough — and we need your help.
Your donation will go directly toward:
Life-saving surgeries and medications,
Intensive care costs,
Recovery and rehabilitation — to give Yulia a chance to raise her little boy.
Even a small contribution can make a life-changing impact.
If you are unable to donate, please help us by sharing this story.
From our family to yours — thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Family of Yulia
