Hi, my name is Christine. I am the owner of Luke. I created this account to help raise funds to get the medical treatment he needs and deserves. Luke is my seven-year-old American Bully. He has been the best boy ever. He has proven his loyalty to us time and time again. So much so that four years ago, while on our walk, a dog without a leash came towards us to attack us. Luke stood in the way, not only saving me but his furry friend too.
We rescued Luke at eight months old from a home that did not want him and therefore treated him very poorly. They had him locked up in a cage in their garage, only taking him out to do his business. He has always been a healthy dog until recently when he developed a bloat in his belly. We took him to his vet, and X-rays were taken to find fluid in his abdomen. The vet thought it was a GI infection and sent him home with meds, hoping it would fix the problem, but unfortunately, it didn’t. Luke still has the fluid. The vet now thinks it could be cancer.
But within the could be’s lies a dog that still shows signs of life. He is so much more than just a pet to us; he is family. I’m fully aware that these are trying times for everyone; we are all falling short somehow. For us, it is not being able to bring him the medical attention he needs. It breaks our hearts to even go to this extent, but pride has no room for family.
Please help me save Luke.
