My long-time girlfriend died on May 24th, 2025. She had been very sick for months. During her illness, she began doing irrational things like wandering out of our small home at 1 or 2 AM. One of the irrational things she did was to throw away important items, cards, and documents. One of the important items she threw away was my dentures. Because I had gotten them just last year, I am unable to get my insurance company to help pay for new ones.
I had a flipper for my two front teeth and a bridge on the bottom. I am on SS Disability with a monthly income of under $1,200. I would like to find part-time work to supplement this monthly check but feel hampered by so many missing teeth. The situation is a terrible blow to my confidence. Should I get new dentures and find a job, I will make meager donations to fundraiser until I match what was donated to me.
Thank you for your consideration.
