Help Support Chance Freese in His Fight Against Leukemia

On June 12th, 2025, what began as a seemingly simple stomach ache turned into every parent’s worst nightmare. Chance, a bright and kind-hearted 12-year-old boy, was rushed to the emergency room. Blood tests revealed that Chance’s white blood cell count was over 300,000 — dangerously high and far above the normal range of around 10,000 for his age. He was immediately diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

Chance is now facing an incredibly tough battle. His form of AML includes a mutation that makes it more resistant to treatment. He has already begun receiving aggressive rounds of chemotherapy and will soon undergo a bone marrow transplant in hopes of saving his life.

Austin and his family have been by his side every step of the way. unfortunatley he lives 3 hours away from the hospital where Chance is being treated and is struggling to afford the cost of travel, meals, and time away from work—on top of mounting medical bills.

This fundraiser is being set up to help relieve some of the financial burden on Austin so he can focus on what truly matters: being there for his son. Funds will go toward:

Gas and travel expenses

Medical bills and related costs

Meals and accommodations near the hospital

Any support needed to help Chance recover and heal

If you’re able to give, no matter the amount, it would mean the world to this family. And if you can’t give, please consider sharing this page to help us spread Chance’s story.

Thank you for keeping Chance, Austin, and their family in your thoughts and prayers as they begin this difficult journey.

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
