Hello, my name is Nick Santoro, and I’m raising funds for a very special woman who is quick to help others, always has kind words for everyone (unless you get on her bad side), and never wants to be a burden. She is one of my dearest friends and has been for almost five decades! She deserves nothing but the best this world has to offer…but that’s not what she is getting right now. MARCY McCREARY LaVOGUE is this friend.
Marcy was diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver as well as a cancerous nodule on her liver. This is an inherent trait in her family, which has taken the lives of both her mother and brother. She was treated with radioactive beads for the cancer and went on the Cleveland Clinic’s transplant list. In late May, Marcy received a new liver, and her medical condition has begun slowly improving. That’s the good news. The bad news is that all of this is depleting her both emotionally and financially at a rapid pace.
It was expected that Marcy would spend time in Cleveland Clinic’s “transplant house” following her surgery, but there is no room available for her – and she’s 17th in line to get in! As it stands now, Marcy is on the verge of leaving the Cleveland Clinic lethally early without any in-home professional medical support. This is unbelievable!
If you know Marcy, you know she is a humble, self-reliant, resilient individual who is also quite hard-headed and reluctant to ask for help. With that being said, I will do what she won’t. I’m asking my classmates, friends, colleagues, and mutual acquaintances – ANYONE – to please consider donating to Marcy as she navigates this LIFE-THREATENING and emotionally overwhelming situation.
I, along with several others, am scrambling to do anything we can. PLEASE JOIN US IN HELPING MARCY. We sincerely thank you!
