Meet my best friend, Ryleigh. We’ve grown incredibly close while working together at Texas Roadhouse, and if you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting her, you know just how special she is. Ryleigh is vibrant, funny, and one of the most uplifting people I know. No matter what kind of day you’re having, she always manages to bring a smile to your face.
For some time, Ryleigh has quietly battled ongoing health issues involving her kidneys, lymph nodes, and blood. Her hemoglobin levels are dangerously low, leaving her with only half the red blood cells a healthy person should have. This makes even simple activities, like spending time outside, incredibly difficult and exhausting.
Despite all of this, Ryleigh has been living on her own at a young age and working hard to support herself. Unfortunately, this means she hasn’t always had reliable access to the healthcare she desperately needs.
On June 19th, after a lymph node biopsy, Ryleigh received news that no one is ever prepared for, she has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Facing this diagnosis without the help of adequate health insurance is devastating.
