Hello everyone my name is Alicia(niece) and
I’m here on behalf of the Meza family.
As some of you know, Viki was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on June 2, 2025 after being hospitalized for a week at Capital Medical in Olympia. After her diagnosis was confirmed, she was started on chemo immediately. Her respiratory response was not good. On June 5th Viki was intubated and we were told the outcome was not looking good and everyone should come see her before it was too late! Viki decided she was not done fighting and made it through the night. She has since been fighting for her life .
Her husband Pablo and son Max have been doing their best to keep their spirits up and be by her side. They have tried to remain strong. Friday, Max graduated high school and as hard as it was to do it without his mom there, he did it for her ! Viki is their sole income as Pablo is their son, Max, full time caregiver. At this time Pablo and Max are left to navigate through everything while still being there for Viki.
On Saturday June 7th, Viki showed respiratory improvement! She is still fighting!
For those of you who know her, you know that she is an extraordinary human being. She is cheerful, loving, unbelievably strong and always puts her friends and family before herself. Viki will always give before taking for herself, even if it’s for someone she doesn’t even know.
Now, it’s time that we send back some of that love and support to Viki. If you’re able to, please consider donating to help relieve some financial burden as the Meza family tries to find solid ground after this devastating news and extremely rocky beginning of Viki’s journey. Anything you can donate will be truly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please say a prayer! Everything we can do to help and surround her with love is what is most important so she can focus on beating this. Please spread the word. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
