Han Mitákuyepi, I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my father, Thomas James Locke Jr., born December 14th, 1959. My father has been battling with health issues for quite some time now and is currently in Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Last year in May, my father was rushed to the Coteau Hospital in Sisseton, SD. After a night’s stay, he was airlifted to Fargo and found out he has a blood infection caused by water. Soon after they found out what the infection was, he was airlifted to Coon Rapids, MN. He then had to undergo heart surgery to get his pacemaker removed due to the infection growing on the wires. After surgery, they had him wear a life vest for six weeks until the infection cleared. Once it had cleared, they went back in and put a temporary pacemaker in.
Within time, the infection came back and progressed into Osteomyelitis, a bone infection.
As of right now, we are currently waiting on how to move forward with this infection. He was supposed to have heart surgery for his new pacemaker the past two appointments, but due to this infection, it has been postponed. My father has been struggling over a year now with weak legs and severe pain in his lower back.
My family and I are asking for help from our relatives out there if they can help us in this way. All expenses will be going towards hotel, food, gas, and other medical expenses.
