I’m Brian Kesselring and I am writing this on behalf of my dear friend, Torrey McPherson, who was the victim of a felony domestic assault by her live-in male partner/roommate on May 5, 2025. This incident left her alone, on the floor, with a severely broken shoulder and a broken ankle, both of which required separate surgeries to reconstruct. The severity of the shoulder break required a complete artificial shoulder replacement. The ankle break was so severe that it required a plate, pins, and screws to repair. After the assault, the perpetrator left the residence for days, rendering her incapable of walking or caring for herself… broken and alone.
Torrey has made it through the surgeries successfully, but has a long, expensive, and difficult road to healing ahead. Being unable to walk, nor use her dominant hand, she is in need of daily, in-home care to feed her and assist in the everyday needs we tend to take for granted until they are gone. This care is NOT cheap. Her 95-year-old father is on a fixed income in a senior living home and cannot afford to continue the care she desperately needs. She is at risk of losing her necessary assistance.
Torrey is profusely kind. She volunteers her time to help place abandoned animals in foster homes. She is a former career social worker. Her empathy runs deeper than most.
Although she would never ask, I’m personally asking for any help to assist her and her struggling father to get her through this awful situation, perpetrated by felony domestic violence. Anything helps.
Eternal gratitude is extended for your time and consideration.
May love and healing win here.
Bless you all.
