On June 4th Xiomara Vazquez was in a serious car accident and was severely injured, with 4 fractures on her spine and has no movement from her waist down. Xiomara will have to go through at least 3 months of physical therapy to regain movement in her legs and it will take even longer for her to be able to return to work.
Xio is an important part of the Napa community and is deeply missed at both Mother’s Taco and Heritage Eats, the restaurants where she works. This is a very difficult journey for Xiomara and she needs all the support we can offer. Any contributions are greatly appreciated and will go directly toward Xiomara’s living expenses and medical bills. Thank you from the heart for being a part of Xio’s village.
El 4 de junio, Xiomara Vázquez sufrió un grave accidente automovilístico y resultó gravemente herida, con cuatro fracturas en la columna vertebral y sin movilidad de cintura para abajo. Xiomara tendrá que someterse a al menos tres meses de fisioterapia para recuperar la movilidad en las piernas, y le llevará aún más tiempo poder volver al trabajo. Xio es una parte importante de la comunidad de Napa y la extrañamos mucho tanto en Mother’s Taco como en Heritage Eats, los restaurantes donde trabaja. Este es un momento muy difícil para Xiomara y necesita todo el apoyo que podamos ofrecerle.
