My name is Caina Emmanuella, and this is my story.
One year ago, my life underwent a complete transformation. I was the victim of a hit-and-run accident that left me with an open fracture in my right femur. I was rushed into emergency surgery, where doctors placed a metal plate and other surgical materials in my leg to help the bone heal. I was full of hope and faith that everything would recover in time.
However, one year later, I received heartbreaking news. The bone did not heal as expected. I was diagnosed with pseudoarthrosis, a condition where the bone fails to heal properly. Because of this, I now need a second surgery—a bone graft procedure—to give my leg a real chance at healing and to relieve the constant pain I’m living with.
This next surgery is scheduled for July 20th, and I am doing everything I can to prepare. The total cost is $7,000 (400,000 pesos). My family and I have managed to raise $2,000, but we still need $5,000 to move forward. The only thing standing between me and the ability to walk again is this financial barrier.
The pain has been indescribable, and each day has been a test of faith. But I find strength in my relationship with the Holy Ghost and the scriptures. One of my favorite verses that gives me peace is:
“Nevertheless, after much tribulation, the Lord did hear my cries, and did answer my prayers, and made me an instrument in his hands…”
— Mosiah 23:10
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have been deeply blessed by the prayers and support of my ward and Church family. Their kindness has kept my spirit strong.
I am now humbly reaching out for help to raise the remaining funds—in the next 30 days—so I can move forward with this surgery. If you feel moved to help through donations, sharing this message, or simply keeping me in your prayers, I will be forever grateful.
With faith,
Caina Emmanuella
