Aaron Lloyd Klein (July 27, 1977 – July 25, 2026) was a vibrant, charismatic, and brilliantly intelligent man with a sharp wit and a heart full of passion. He was the smartest man I ever met — a hilarious, larger-than-life partner who brought joy, laughter, and deep connection to every moment we shared. His sudden death by suicide on July 25, just two days before his birthday, has left an irreplaceable void.
Aaron lived with bipolar disorder and understood firsthand how financial crises can rapidly worsen mental health struggles. He dreamed of a world where no one facing this illness would have to fight alone — especially when money for rent, medication, or basic survival was running out. As his soulmate, I am committed to turning our profound loss into lasting hope for others in San Diego living with bipolar disorder.
Our goal is to raise funds to cover funeral cremation and inurnment costs ($10,000), nonprofit paperwork and IRS tax-exempt status ($5,000), and to launch Bipolar Hope Is Unlimited, a nonprofit providing repayable microgrants to San Diego residents diagnosed with bipolar disorder who are in desperate financial need. These microgrants will offer urgent, dignity-preserving help for housing, medication, medical care, utilities, transportation to appointments, and other essentials that can prevent crises and support stability.
