On July 21st, we lost Judy Young in the devastating flooding that swept through the Buckhannon, WV area. It happened suddenly, and none of us were prepared for how quickly everything would change.
Judy was stubborn, kind, and fiercely devoted to the people she loved. She was the kind of person who showed up, no matter how hard things got. She opened her home and her heart to people and gave them a chance no matter what. To many of us, she was far more than a friend or relative. She was family.
Now the people who loved her are trying to grieve while also facing the cost of her funeral and final arrangements. We are asking for help so we can lay Judy to rest with the dignity she deserves without leaving that entire burden on the family already hurting most.
