Honoring My Mother’s Legacy with Love

Dennis Smith - Honoring My Mother’s Legacy with Love

In Loving Memory of My Mother – Help Me Honor Her Legacy

This past Tuesday, I said goodbye to my amazing mother after her courageous journey with Lewy body dementia. She was 91 years old and lived a life filled with love, strength, and compassion. While nothing can prepare you for losing a parent, it has been a profound honor to care for her the past almost 3 years.

As her primary caregiver, I was committed to ensuring she could remain comfortable, safe, and surrounded by love here in Nashville. Along the way, I incurred significant out-of-pocket expenses for home healthcare, medical supplies, and other essential care needs that were not covered by insurance.

I’m humbly asking for support to help ease the financial burden of these caregiving expenses. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help cover the costs of her home healthcare and related expenses, allowing our family to focus on honoring her memory rather than the financial strain left behind.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, and community would mean just as much.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Your generosity is a beautiful way to honor my mother’s life and the love she shared with so many.

With gratitude,

Dennis Smith
