Hi, my name is Darling, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my brother Arjay Alibasa, who lives in the Philippines. We’re reaching out with heavy hearts and a lot of hope, to ask for help for someone very special to our family: Jasmin Nuñez.
Jasmin is one of the kindest and most caring people you’ll ever meet. She loves cooking for her family, it’s her way of showing love, making sure everyone feels cared for and at home. She’s the kind of mom who always puts her son James first. After losing her husband years ago, she kept going strong just for him.
Just two days ago, everything changed.
Jasmin suddenly collapsed at home. She felt dizzy, started vomiting, and then lost consciousness. Arjay rushed her to Evangelista Hospital in San Pedro, Laguna, Philippines, where doctors told him she had no pulse. It was the scariest moment of their lives. But by some miracle, and the fast work of the doctors, Jasmin was revived.
She was placed in the ICU, hooked up to machines, and fighting for her life. We prayed and waited.
Now, Jasmin is awake. Her eyes are open, and that alone feels like a miracle. But she’s not out of the woods yet. Because of the stroke and lack of oxygen, she’s still in critical condition and needs to stay in the ICU. She can’t breathe properly on her own yet, and the care she needs is round-the-clock.
The hospital asked for a down payment, and every day the bills go up. There are medications, oxygen support, and so many treatments ahead, not to mention the cost of rehab, if she gets strong enough for that.
Our family is doing everything we can, but we simply can’t manage it all alone. So I’m reaching out on their behalf, for anyone who might be able to help.
Your support will go toward:
Jasmin’s ICU stay and hospital bills
Her daily medications and oxygen
Rehab and recovery when she stabilizes
Jasmin is more than a patient in a hospital bed — she’s a mom, a partner, and someone who fills her home with love through the little things, like cooking for the people she cares about most. She has so much more to do in this life, so much more love to give.
If you can donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And if you can’t, please consider sharing this with others — it means just as much.
With all our love and gratitude,
Darling Alibasa-Mendoza
