Join Noah’s Fight Against Leukemia

Hello, my name is Kathleen Groves & I am raising donations for my nephew Noah Baldwin.

Noah is a kind-hearted 8-year-old who loves to read, spend time with his family, swim, play with Hot Wheels, video games, soccer, Pokémon, and build Lego sets.

In a matter of a week, what started as a small bump on Noah became a parent’s worst nightmare. With news that devastates a family, we are here to help where we can.

  • On June 6th, Noah’s mom, Cassie, took him to the Children’s Clinic for a bump on his shoulder, where an MRI was ordered and completed.
  • On June 7th, the Children’s Clinic called requesting Noah to complete a CT scan at Munson, to which he was taken, and they did some blood work. They requested that Cassie make an appointment for Noah to go to Devos Children’s Hospital to complete the CT scan.
  • On June 8th, Noah was taken to Devos (without an appointment) where they completed an x-ray, an ultrasound of the shoulder mass, and blood work. He was then admitted.
  • On June 9th, there were no answers, but a CT scan was completed which showed a cancerous mass on the shoulder, lymph nodes, and masses on both kidneys, the size of a half dollar.
  • On June 10th, an ultrasound on both kidneys was completed, and a biopsy was performed from the shoulder mass and the lymph node under his arm was removed.
  • On June 11th, an Echo test was completed on Noah’s heart, and the results from the biopsy came in and confirmed Noah has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) Type B Cell Lymphoma (a rare type) stage 3.
  • On June 12th, Noah had bone marrow pulled from both hips for testing, a spinal lumbar tap with the first round of chemo injected into his spinal cord, along with his port placed for further chemo treatments.

With the rare form of Lymphoblastic cancer, Noah is opted into a study where his samples will be studied to further knowledge and advances in treatment for future children that are diagnosed. In this way, we hope to help another family.

Your donations will help keep the lights on and meals on the table as his parents take necessary time off to be in Grand Rapids for chemo every week for the next 9 months, and then following once a month for an estimated 2.5 years.

Noah will be staying in Grand Rapids for another week, he will have a PET scan to ensure we have not missed another area of cancer, another round of Chemo treatment and possibly another biopsy in his lumbar.

Not a single child deserves this new and scary reality, one day normal and the next, not. As a family, were coming together to do everything possible for our Noah to support him going forward. We ask for prayers that we as a family can be strong for Noah and that God will give our little boy the courage he needs until he defeats Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Each donation made whether a dollar or more will add up, giving his parents the much needed relief that they will be able to be by his side when he needs them the most.

Thank you,

Kathleen Groves & all of our family.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
