I’m reaching out on behalf of one of the most beautiful souls I know — my best friend Matti — and her dog, Luna, who was recently diagnosed with a malignant mast cell tumor.
Luna isn’t just a dog. She’s the dog — the kind that changes lives, the kind that everyone who meets her remembers. She’s been with Matti through every chapter of adulthood: heartbreaks, triumphs, new cities, old homes. She was the heart of our friend group in college — our unofficial mascot, emotional support animal, and source of unconditional love.
Now Luna is facing her toughest battle yet.
The diagnosis has come with a whirlwind of emotions and an overwhelming wave of vet visits, treatment plans, and medical expenses. Mast cell tumors are aggressive, but with timely care and the right support, Luna has a fighting chance.
