Guadalupe D Bernal, lovingly known as Lupita, was more than just a coworker—she was a cherished friend and a bright presence in our workplace. Despite facing her own battles with depression, Lupita always greeted everyone with a warm smile and a kind word. She was a dedicated boss who made the office feel like a second home, even as she carried the weight of personal loss and hardship. Having lost her mother two years ago and gone through a difficult divorce, Lupita found herself without family nearby. Through it all, she leaned on the friendships she built at work and found comfort in her close bond with Betty Santana, whom she met at her previous job and came to see as a second mom.
Tragically, Lupita lost her battle with depression and passed away at the age of 42. Her absence has left a deep void in our hearts and in our community. As we come to terms with this loss, we want to honor Lupita’s memory with a memorial service that reflects the love and light she brought into our lives. Since she had no family close by, it is up to us—her friends and coworkers—to come together and give her the farewell she deserves.
We are asking for your support to help cover the costs of Lupita’s memorial service. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help us celebrate her life and say goodbye in a meaningful way. Thank you for keeping Lupita in your thoughts and for helping us honor her memory.
