On February 7th, I was diagnosed with Graves Disease. On this day, I was at work when I felt like I was going to pass out, then began shaking uncontrollably, and experienced terrible tachycardia. The same thing happened 2 weeks prior, but I shrugged it off as anxiety. At the ER, they started me on medication. Unfortunately, my symptoms were so bad I had to take 5 weeks off from work. My first time not working that long in over 25 years.
I was rushed by ambulance by my eye doctor, which resulted in a $1400 bill I am still fighting with BCBSFL over. I returned to work on March 12th. Now, I am trying to pay my medical bills off. On top of all this, I have been experiencing pain when sitting and do not know the cause. I have a colonoscopy on August 15th, the earliest they could see me. This will cost me another $250.
For some normalcy, I went and had my 6-month teeth cleaning that’s normally free. Not this time; I owe $125 for it, and I haven’t had a filling in years, but with my health the way it’s been i did not brush like I normally do, those are going to cost me another $98.00. Did I mention the AC in my car went out and I can’t afford to fix that? I work hard, and I know so do other people, but things are a bit tough right now. Any help is appreciated and I promise to pay it forward.
