Our Margaret has had some continuous health issues since April of 2024. Many ER visits and medications, but never any diagnosis. This year in April, we were informed that she has an enlarged liver with NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease), NAFPD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Pancreas Disease), heavy inflammation of the intestines, an enlarged spleen, sludge in the gallbladder lumen, and an unknown mass on the pancreas. More tests are being done, but still no cause yet. This month has been really hard for her as her symptoms get worse. Not only has she been diagnosed with so much, she’s experiencing symptoms like memory loss, extreme fatigue, and high heart rates. Most days, even getting out of bed feels impossible. She has to now rely on a walker to help make transportation a little less painful. She is going through so much, and we are so proud of her for continuing and pushing through with college. Though leaving her job was the best decision to focus on getting healthy, it has put a strain on income. We live in a city with high housing costs, so even being down one income makes a huge difference. We want to focus on the health of Margaret instead of worrying about the pile of bills, relying on family for transportation, and no answers from doctors. Unfortunately, we can’t do that unless we relocate to a city with lower housing costs, better healthcare options, and public transportation. We decided to start a fundraiser to help raise money for us to live here as we don’t want to move away from her grandparents. Thank you so much for the support and encouragement we have gotten through this hard time. It makes a huge difference just to see a smile on her face right now. We are so proud of her for continuing college and turning a painful time into something positive.
