A message from Rob:
Robin has a new heart.
For a long time Robin has been living on borrowed time. Her heart was failing.
On June 9th, thanks to the kindness of a stranger, she awoke with a strong pulse and a second chance. A second chance to see our sons grow up. A second chance to dance with me. A second chance to keep giving to the community she loves.
Your love and support are critical to her. Still, many of you have asked how you can help, and for a place to donate.
If you choose to, this is the place.
In the US, excellent healthcare isn’t cheap. We’ll have to establish a second home in Portland for months, because she has to stay within minutes of the hospital. She’ll need dedicated caregivers during recovery. Lost work, travel expenses, weekly procedures… it all adds up.
Your are Robin’s friends, her family, her community. Support comes in many forms, and you have no obligation to choose this one… but if you want to help financially, this is the way. Your only obligation is to keep in touch, wrap your arms around her, and dance with her when she’s back on her feet. Whatever you choose, we’re grateful.
