Running has always been a source of hope and healing for me, especially after being diagnosed with POTs/dysautonomia in 2021. There was a time when I wasnβt sure if Iβd ever be able to run again, but rediscovering the joy of running gave me a new sense of purpose. Along with living with TBI and scoliosis, every step has been a testament to resilience and determination. Inspired by this second chance, I entered the marathon ballot for 2025, dreaming of pushing my limits and celebrating how far Iβve come.
In January 2026, I received the news that Iβd been accepted into the marathonβon the very day I was on my way to the ICU to say goodbye to my best friend Kylee, who passed away suddenly. Now, this marathon in Spain means even more to me. Iβm running not just for myself, but also in memory of Kylee, carrying their spirit with me every step of the way. I want to use this opportunity to spread awareness and strength for others living with POTs, dysautonomia, TBI, and scoliosis, showing that hope and perseverance can carry us through even the toughest times.
Iβm reaching out for support to help cover the costs of travel, hotels, fuel, and the gear Iβll need to make this journey possible. Your encouragement means the world to me, whether itβs through a donation, following along with my training, or even joining me for a run. Thank you for helping me honor Kylee and celebrate resilienceβtogether, we can make this marathon truly meaningful.
