May of 2021 when Shanie was diagnosed with Lupus. By the Grace of God, He showed mercy and miracle to Shanie’s life from the beginning of her battle.
Lupus has been a stealer to her life, but Shanie is an overcomer and did not let lupus to steal her everyday life. It wasn’t easy, still not easy especially mentally, physically and emotionally. It is a battle that all you can do is surrender it to the Almighty. This is Shanie’s journey, but God fought already the battle for her!
Lupus does not have a permanent cure. While treatments can effectively manage symptoms and prevent flare-ups, there is no current method to eliminate the disease.
But we are believing and standing with her in Faith on this journey!
June 3rd when she got hospitalized, her body was full of fluids going up to her lungs ( just imagine looking like a 6-7months pregnant but hers are fluids) oxygen level are so low while her BP is so high. Dr said that she is prone to cardiac arrest. Her body is fighting Infection, flare ups, inflammation and many other serious pain.
She went through so much treatments and medication since she got admitted to the hospital. There has been a great progress, but still not out of risk. Dr’s and nurses has been close monitoring her. Her body is vulnerable but Shanie’s mind is a fighter.
With a humble heart, I am making this fundraiser in behalf of my Sister. I am asking financial help to help Shanie’s ongoing treatments. Just a little facts about Philippine healthcare is that most medications, treatments, and laboratories are out of pocket (cash on hand payment). It has been rough and challenging financially, mentally and physically. But our family doesn’t stop without a fight! We appreciate and thank all the people that has been extending their help and support for Shanie.
