Stand with Us: Mom’s Road to Recovery

Anyone that knows my mom knows she doesn’t stop moving and running!! She works 65+ hours a week, goes to Pilates 3-4x a week, would take the shirt off her back if it meant helping someone in need, and for the most part, has been blessed with health.

Over the last few years, she has experienced being sick with diverticulitis but has always healed well. In March, she became sick again and was in and out of the hospital, eventually being diagnosed with an abscess in her colon. She had surgery to take a piece of her colon out, was starting to heal and on the up and up, until about 3 weeks later when she became violently ill again and was rushed back to the hospital where they put her in for emergency surgery, taking the remaining part of her colon and diagnosed with two serious infections (MRSA and E. faecalis in her gut), leaving her bound to the hospital where she currently remains.

My mom has worked her butt off to get to where she is now; however, she is self-employed, so every day she remains in the hospital takes income from her household, and as we all know, bills don’t stop just because you get sick. If you can donate, anything will help, and if not, please send prayers and reshare. My mom has never asked for an handout her entire life and would probably tell me Hell No if she knew I was doing this, however she is not invincible like we all believe our parents are, and even she needs help sometimes. Anyone who knows my mom knows she would help anyone else in the same position. Thank you all so much!!

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
