Support a Caring Dad’s Cancer Battle

I have been procrastinating typing this up. I don’t want my dad to have cancer. He doesn’t want me to have to ask people we know to help pay for his treatment. He has tried everything possible to avoid having to do so-but here we are!

Dad was diagnosed with cancer on his vocal cord in a few months ago. Luckily it is localized, and his doctors are pretty confident they can get it all with radiation only. He starts his radiation a week from today: 5 days per week for 5 weeks.

It’s ironic that someone who has worked so hard his entire life has to ask for help paying medical bills. He STILL works a part time job at 76 and takes care of mom, too. He is hoping the radiation won’t force him to stop working as they can’t survive without that income. I wouldn’t put it past him to continue to work: nothing has ever kept him down in the past. He has more energy and motivation than anyone I know!

Those of you that know my dad know he is one in a million. Wherever we have lived people noticed that he’s exceptional. (You can see from the photos how much he is loved!) Friends have called him a saint because he is caring and generous and has always gone out his way to help people. Always. Now it’s my dad who needs the help.

Cancer loves stress and I hope we can take the financial worry from his mind and heart.

Thank you all so much. Please share this – we need it to reach as many people as possible.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
