Help Support Our Dad Ben’s Cancer Recovery
Hi everyone,
Our dad, Ben, was recently diagnosed with throat cancer, and we are reaching out to ask for your support as he begins a long and difficult recovery journey.
Just before his diagnosis, he was preparing for a fresh start. He had lined up a job in Colorado and made the brave decision to move across states, selling most of his belongings and ready to live simply out of his work van. But his plans were suddenly turned upside down.
Ben will soon undergo major surgery to remove a tumor at the base of his tongue and throat, along with all the lymph nodes on the left side of his neck. It’s a serious procedure with a challenging recovery, especially for someone whose work, as a skilled carpenter, is physically demanding.
If the surgery doesn’t remove all the cancer, he may need to undergo up to six weeks of radiation—meaning even more time away from work and additional strain on his body.
We’ve been incredibly grateful this was caught early—thanks to a checkup he went to for hearing loss. The doctors are optimistic, but the road ahead won’t be easy. Our hope is to help take the financial burden off his shoulders so he can focus fully on healing.
Anyone who knows our dad knows his talents with wood, tile, and craftsmanship. But beyond that, he’s a kind soul, dependable father of three, a generous friend, and someone who’s always willing to lend a helping hand.
We’re asking for donations to help with his living expenses, medical costs not covered by insurance, and the general support he’ll need while out of work. If you can give anything at all, it would mean the world to our family. If you can’t donate, sharing this page or sending words of encouragement would be just as meaningful.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting our dad during this time.
With love,
Ben’s daughters
