Hello, My name is Bill Clark Jr. I am a disabled war veteran from the Gulf War. Late October 2023 I started having health problems due to a blocked bile duct. Numerous hospital visits, stent replacements, biopsies and other medical procedures. March 2024, via biopsy, I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma/pancreatobiliary duct. Surgery scheduled for end of May 2024. Went in and had the surgery known as the Whipple Surgery. The doctor removed 75% of bile duct, duodenum, gall bladder and a small portion of my pancreas. As of right now I am cancer free. This cancer can be very aggressive. With the body parts that were removed, food digestion and nutrition has been pretty difficult. I drink 3-4 protein shakes a day on top of food I eat which can be very costly. A case of 12 shakes is $50.00. The VA does not provide these protein shakes because they don’t carry/stock/prescribe the ones I use. They are plant based with zero sugar because cancer feeds off sugar and I am also prediabetic. I am asking for your help to be able to continue on these protein drinks. I also will be donating a portion of the money raised to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. Your help would be greatly appreciated on this journey.
