My life changed dramatically after being diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. I recently underwent a major surgery, and every day since has been a struggle. Before my diagnosis, I was able to work 12+ hours a day and ran my own business for 16 years. As my health declined and I waited for surgery, I had to cut back to just a few hours of work each day and eventually had to give up the business I built from the ground up. This has been incredibly hard on me and my family, both emotionally and financially.
Now, I’m facing a long road to recovery. I have an important appointment this week to find out if I’ll need radiation, and the uncertainty is overwhelming. The costs of ongoing medical care, monthly bills, and even keeping up with my truck note are adding up quickly. My family and I are doing our best to stay strong, but the financial and emotional toll is heavy. I’m reaching out for help so we can keep our heads above water while I focus on healing and, hopefully, getting back to work in the future.
