Support Bryleigh’s Fight Against MRSA

Bryleigh Mae Beeman

Due Date: July 15, 2025

Arrival Date: May 16, 2025

On May 16,2025 we visited the labor and delivery ER as my feet were swelling to the point they were becoming raw and busting open. What I thought was just going as a safety precaution and maybe sent home on some medicine turned into the hospital admitting me due to being diagnosed with preeclampsia. I was admitted for about two days when after the nurse came and took vitals about 20 minutes later I remember hitting the nurse button telling them that my eye had completely swelled shut. The nurse was unable to find any pupil reaction and then my body started convulsing and shaking. Miss Bryleigh made her appearance emergency c section on May 16 2025 about 7 ish weeks early. Bryleigh was admitted to babtist NICU and was there for 21 days. During her NICU stay she was showing signs of being a breech baby(she was not) holding her leg up into her belly and showing signs of her leg swelling. Multiple tests and blood cultures were rand and Bryleighs blood culture showed that bacteria was growing. A day later we were notified that Bryleigh had contracted MRSA and was being transferred to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville for her infection. Bryleigh has what they call a septic hip, in plain terms she has puss around her hip bone that is causing her to be extremely uncomfortable and in pain. She has surgery this morning to drain and scrape the infection around her hip bone, as of right now she is on pain medicine and very strong aggressive antibiotics to help fight the infection off. We are looking at 6-8 weeks in the NICU in Louisville while they try and help her overcome this infection and Norton’s also has infectious disease control, orthopedic specialists along with a few more doctors who are working together to come up with a game plan for Bryleigh. I will update this post as we learn more about her infection as well as updates on how she is.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
