Hello, my name is Vicki Amidon. My daughters’ daycare provider (their 2nd Mom, and definitely our blessing while I was working), Cheryl Gaby, is sadly/shockingly, and currently battling Multiple Myeloma. She began treatments in December of 2024. Her next step is a Stem Cell Transplant. On 6/5, she began receiving daily injections to prepare her body for the Stem Cell collection, which will begin on 6/9. This will continue daily until they collect 6 million Stem cells. On June 17th, she will be admitted to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center to receive a high dose of Chemotherapy. On June 18th, they will put her Stem cells back in. She will then be in the hospital 14-21 days until her Stem Cells graft. Once that procedure is accomplished, she will have to stay close to Roswell (in a hotel room) for 28 days. Currently, her husband, Kevin, will be commuting approximately 130 miles every day (could reach 49 days) from their home to be with Cheryl. I am hoping to raise enough funds so that Kevin can be in a hotel close to his wife EVERYDAY until she can go back to their HOME with him.
