I’m setting up this fundraiser page for Erika Ann Gutierrez & Paytton Lee Kelso.
Erika works really hard; she is an amazing mother. She has been on her own trying to fix everything! Erika doesn’t like to accept hand-me-downs because she believes she must work hard as she was taught!
However, the trailer house she lives in is pretty bad. The roof has a hole and lets out all her heat during the winter months, which runs her electric bill pretty high, at least five hundred in electricity.
Plus, the space rent keeps going up.
The floors have holes under the carpet as well. Mold is a struggle, which brings in Paytton.
Erika has no public assistance and has been paying her bills with her job. She also pays for expensive doctor bills for Paytton, her son.
He has had to have shots that cost her two thousand dollars per shot for her son.
The bills just keep draining her along with the doctors and medical treatments, which leave no cash for fixing up the trailer.
The children’s hospital in Salt Lake still hasn’t pinpointed the cause of Paytton’s wacked-out immune system!
Paytton sheds his skin like a reptile and has so many unpleasant symptoms. His skin is covered in rashes, and it’s painful and itchy.
Paytton gets so bad he isn’t able to bend his knees from the skin issues; he has to have ground-level house entry.
Paytton struggles a lot. He is highly allergic to almost life itself!
It’s extremely irritating to him. He is in counseling as well because he was talking a lot about suicide and had to go to therapy/counseling, which adds to the cost.
Paytton’s father has cerebral palsy and can only help with a quarter of some costs towards Paytton’s food because he has so many allergies it requires a higher cost of food choices that he can have. Personal hygiene is also a total higher expense.
So basically, Erika is trying her hardest to do it all on her own, but she needs HELP.
She doesn’t think she is good enough to ask for help because she feels people are ALL struggling, which is correct that everyone is struggling.
But if we all pitch in what our heart allows us to help with, we can change this one person’s circumstances and help a child that is struggling daily just to live!
We can’t change the whole world, but we can change one family’s world.
The funds would help with more research for his illness, which is so much needed, as he has that extra skin. It’s not attached to his bones; it seems like that of a canine when we try to lift one up by the extra coat.
So more doctors, more biopsies are needed. Plus, the fund would also help with an apartment that is ground level for him to go in and out with more ease on his legs and knees.
We are really praying for a miracle here, because we definitely understand that these aren’t the only people struggling in life.
But Erika is really doing everything she can; she is drained, exhausted, and broke. So please, if you can find it in your heart and finances to assist them, we ask for your help!
Thank you all in advance for the generosity and kindness of your heart!
