On Friday, July 24, 2026, our family lost my beloved brother, David, in a tragic car accident that has forever changed our lives. While trying to help someone else on the side of the road, he was struck by a drunk reckless driver. David died on impact. He never even was transferred to the hospital, they took him straight to the morgue. I pray my brother felt no pain. He was selfless and always helping others!. Our family is physically sick over this. We dont know how we will move on from this. Any donation received will be used to honor Davids death and the needs of his family. He left behind his wife and 2 children. Funds will help with sustaining all of us while we navigate and make necessary arrangements for our families needs.
David was a loving husband, a devoted father, a faithful son, an incredible brother, and a loyal friend. He was the kind of man who would do absolutely anything for the people he loved. His wife, Elsie, and his children, Kamren (14) and little Capri (3), were his entire world. He spoke about them constantly, and every decision he made reflected his deep love for his family.
He also loved our mother Cherrilyn with every breath in him. Their bond was something truly special. She was his sunshine, and he was hers. He was her only son and the baby of the family. Watching her endure this unimaginable loss has been heartbreaking to the point we are in fear of what may happen to her, yet she has shown remarkable strength through her faith in Jehovah as she tries to be there for Elsie, Kamren, and Capri.
David loved his sisters deeply. He has 3 older sisters. His oldest sister, Crystal, followed by his sister Erika, then our youngest sister, Princess. David was the baby of our family. We are all gutted beyond words. We are holding tightly to one another, relying on Jehovah’s strength just to make it through each hour, each minute of the day.
There isn’t a single person I’ve spoken with who hasn’t said the same thing: “David would give you the shirt off his back.”
That wasn’t just a saying—it was exactly who he was.
If helping someone meant sacrificing his own comfort, he never hesitated, in this case it was his life sacrificed. If someone needed help moving, he would be the first one there lifting heavy furniture, even though he lived with scoliosis and chronic back pain. If someone needed his last dollar, he would gladly give it, choosing to go without himself rather than let someone else struggle.
That was David.
He was loved by everyone who knew him. Friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and countless others have come to his home, weeping and saying over and over, “Not David… not my David.”
He worked as a campus security officer, where he became a trusted and beloved presence to the students and staff. His loss is being felt not only by our family, but throughout the school community and by everyone whose life he touched.
Above all else, David loved Jehovah God. He sincerely tried to live a life that would make Jehovah proud. His faith was real, and it guided the way he treated people—with kindness, generosity, humility, and love.
Our father Kirk (Davids Hero) also loved Jehovah and died at a young age!. One of the thoughts that brings us comfort is knowing that when Jehovah fulfills His promise of the resurrection, our father Kirk and David will one day open their eyes and see each other again on Paradise Earth with all of us standing there with tears and open arms. That hope is not just comforting—it is what is carrying our family through this devastating loss.
The pain we feel is indescribable. We already miss him more than words can express, and it has only been hours.
Until the day Jehovah keeps His promise and we see David again, we will carry his love, his example, and his memory in our hearts forever.
We love you, David.
We always will.
