My mom was a beautiful and bright soul. One of the strongest and smartest people you would ever meet. As a single mother of 2, she sacrificed so much for me and my brother to have a good a life and the best upbringing as possible.
As a Type 1 Diabetic since the age of 5, my mom has dealt with many health complications and challenges which prevented her from continuing working and having to depend on SSI Disability. It was so hard watching her suffer for years through constant pain and wondering how she was going to make ends meet. My brother and I put our own lives on the line to make sure her diabetes were under control, she was taking all of her medication, and attended every necessary doctor’s appointment.
Since April 11th, my mom had dealt with countless Epileptic Seizures, slight case of Dementia, Bacterial Infections, Vascular Disease, and Gangrene in both of her feet. On June 22nd, my mom lost her long hard fought battle, with Sepsis being the leading cause. She was only 58 years old.
This has been such a stressful and depressing time for myself and my brother. We never thought we would lose our mom was abruptly, we haven’t had time to put together a memorial service. The expenses of maintaining our family home and the bills have put us on a roadblock. Any contribution, big or small would be extremely grateful during our time of need until we are back stable on our own 2 feet.
