Help Gahira Tapia Fight Cancer
We’re reaching out to ask for your support for a dear family friend, Gahira Tapia, who is courageously fighting stage 3 colon cancer.
Gahira was diagnosed about two and a half years ago and has been receiving treatment at a cancer center in Hermosillo, Sonora. This center relies on funding from the Mexican government. However, in recent months, those funds have stopped reaching the center, leaving patients like Gahira to cover the full cost of treatment themselves.
Her husband has sold nearly everything they own, except their small house and car, doing everything he can to continue her care. Even her 84-year-old father, Julio Tapia, has returned to work as a street food vendor selling tacos to help support her.
This is a family that has sacrificed everything to give Gahira a fighting chance. Now, they need our help.

Ayudemos a Gahira Tapia a Luchar Contra el Cáncer
Estamos recurriendo a su apoyo para ayudar a una querida amiga de la familia, Gahira Tapia, quien está librando una valiente batalla contra el cáncer de colon en etapa 3.
Gahira fue diagnosticada hace aproximadamente dos años y medio, y desde entonces ha estado recibiendo tratamiento en el centro oncológico de Hermosillo, Sonora, el cual depende de fondos del gobierno mexicano. Sin embargo, en los últimos meses, los recursos ya no han estado llegando al centro, lo que ha obligado a muchos pacientes, incluida Gahira, a costear sus tratamientos por cuenta propia.
Su esposo ha vendido todo lo que tenían, excepto su casa y su automóvil, haciendo todo lo posible para mantener el tratamiento de Gahira. Incluso su padre, Julio Tapia, de 84 años, ha tenido que regresar a trabajar como vendedor ambulante de tacos para ayudar con los gastos.
Esta es una familia que ha hecho todo lo posible por preservar la vida de Gahira. Ahora, necesitan de nuestra ayuda.
