Support James Woods and family in his cancer recovery

Please support Jen and James.

We are raising money for my sweet coworker, Jen and her husband, James, who is going through cancer treatment.

This is James’ cancer journey, written by Jen:

“James was diagnosed on Dec 15, 2023 with Stage IV Esophageal Adenocarcinoma that had metastasized to his liver and lungs, and was given a year and a half-ish with treatment. He was diagnosed a month after my mom had passed away, and 2 months before my sister passed. He had still been going to work, even though he was so sick, he wanted to work as long as he could.

On April 15th of this year we took him to the acute care clinic because he was having horrible headaches and was told that the tumor had metastasized to his brain and had to have surgery to remove it. He was in ICU for 2 days after and spent a total of 7 days in the hospital. Because of the surgery, it has left him with some deficits on his right side, and short term memory, that has made it so he is not able to drive or work anymore. Since he’s been home from the hospital, he’s had 2 additional hospital stays. He’s started a new chemo, but he is now considered palliative.”

Jen is now the sole provider of the home, making it extremely difficult to work full time to pay the rent while being by James’ side through his treatment and care. Due to his intensive treatment she has only been able to work for 2 weeks in the last 2.5 months. Please consider donating to help cover bills of the Woods family so they can spend important and precious time together without worrying about getting behind on rent and medical bills.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
