Support Jen’s Journey to Overcome CRPS

Hi Everybody, it’s Jen! As some of you know, I had an accident 5 days before Christmas that left me with a broken foot. Unfortunately, I was misdiagnosed by an orthopedic surgeon here, which left me in need of surgery. So, late January, I found myself in surgery to fix my break and put in a titanium plate and screws. Because of the surgery, I ended up with a new diagnosis of CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) or RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy).

Here is a very basic description of what this syndrome is: Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is a chronic pain condition that affects the limbs, often after an injury or surgery. It causes severe, persistent pain, along with changes in skin temperature, color, and sweating in the affected area and intense swelling. It’s characterized by pain that is disproportionate to the initial injury and can spread to other parts of the body.

So unfortunately, there is no cure for this condition or any protocol that doctors can follow. But on the much brighter side, CRPS has been studied in Europe, and there is a clinic in Italy that uses a patented medicine called neridronate that is extremely effective in helping people go into remission and restore their lives. If only this was available in the United States!! So, in order for me to get the best medicine for this condition, I have to travel to Italy to a special center where I can receive infusions.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
