Support Jessica’s Battle Against Rare Cancer

Dear friends and family,

My heart is heavy as I share that Jessica Nicole Carey (Olsyn) has been diagnosed with cancer. Her and her beautiful family, husband (Bryan) and 2 children, (3 years old and 5 months) are facing a difficult journey, and we need your support to help them navigate this challenging time.

I honestly do not know where to even begin. Typing this brings upon a world of emotions, and I understand if you do not understand because I am still processing it. My best friend in the entire world has been diagnosed with one of the rarest forms of cancer called Chondrosarcoma, a malignant bone cancer that affects cartilage cells, the firm tissue that cushions and protects bone ends. Jess has a tumor in her pelvis bone and part of it will need to be removed and replaced with rods and screws, possibly causing bowel issues and mobility concerns.

Jess is 38 years old and has so much to live for. She works for the United States Postal Service, and they do not allow employees to pay into disability and will be without income during her recovery. I understand this is nobody’s issue except her own, but anything you can or are willing to contribute would be extremely appreciated. Jess is a proud, strong woman and would never ask for this, which is why I am doing so for her. She is the most loving, giving, kindest, and amazing person I have ever encountered, and she needs help, and I humbly am asking for her. She would kill me if she knew I was doing this for her, but her life and family depend on your help. This form of cancer is rare and aggressive, and we are all pulling for her, but the cold reality is the only concern may not be just her recovery, but her family’s livelihood if all does not go well.

Cancer treatment can be incredibly expensive, and Jess is already facing mounting medical bills. We are setting up this fundraiser to help cover the costs of treatment, including chemotherapy, surgeries, and medications.

Even a small donation can make a big difference. Any amount you can contribute will help Jess focus on her health and recovery.

Please share this fundraiser with your network to help spread the word and bring awareness to this important cause. Your support and prayers mean the world to Jess and her family.

Thank you for your generosity and compassion. With love and gratitude, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Thank you to everyone who is able to help; it is so much appreciated. I look forward to hearing from everyone!

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
