Please Help Support Joe in His Battle with Cancer!
Hi, my name is Victoria, and I’m raising funds for someone who means so much to me, my stepdad, Joseph Consomer.
Joey has been in my life for over 10 years, and in that time, he has become a huge part of who I am. From day one, he welcomed me with open arms, never treating me as anything less than family. He’s someone who’s always made me laugh, shown up when it mattered most, and created countless memories that I’ll always hold close to my heart: family trips, holidays, birthdays, and the little everyday moments that made me feel so loved and supported.
He’s the kind of person who never asks for anything in return. Joey works as a sanitation worker, a tough and thankless job, and yet he comes home with a smile on his face, always finding time to lend a helping hand or crack a joke to brighten someone’s day. He’s selfless, caring, and has a heart bigger than words can describe.
Now, Joey needs help. He was recently diagnosed with metastatic disease and is currently undergoing a long, painful, and uncertain medical journey. He’s facing frequent hospital stays, endless testing, and soon, a major surgery to have a metal rod placed in his leg due to the toll this illness has taken on his body. Watching someone you love go through something like this, someone who’s always been so full of life, is incredibly difficult.
As you can imagine, the medical bills are piling up quickly. Our family is doing everything we can to support him, but the financial burden is growing every day. We’re asking for help; anything you can give will go directly toward Joey’s hospital bills and medical expenses, so he can focus on healing instead of how he’s going to afford it.
Even if you’re not able to donate right now, sharing this page and keeping Joey in your thoughts and prayers means more than you know. Your kindness and support will make a real difference in his life and in ours.
Thank you so much for reading, for caring, and for helping us show up for someone who has always shown up for everyone else.
With love and gratitude,
Victoria
