Help My Daughter Through Her Recovery – Support Her in This Difficult Time
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I’m reaching out to ask for your help and support for my 29 year old daughter, Krista Weaver, as she fights to recover her vision and get through the emotional and financial burden of multiple serious eye surgeries.
Earlier this year, she suffered a serious left retinal detachment that required emergency surgery. During recovery, scar tissue built up and unfortunately resulted in a second surgery to remove scar tissue and place an oil bubble in the eye to help the left retina heal. On Monday, June 9, her right retina detached and she underwent another serious surgery to fix the tear.
In July, she will also undergo a third operation to remove and replace the oil that was placed in her eye during the original detachment surgery—a necessary step in her healing process.
Now that both eyes are affected, she is unable to drive, or fix her own meals. She is limited to laying face down for 23 hours a day.
Because of these ongoing health challenges, she has not been able to work since January. The physical and emotional toll, coupled with the financial burden of medical costs, travel, and basic living expenses, has left her in a very vulnerable place.
We’re asking for your support—any amount, large or small—to help her cover:
Medical bills and co-pays
Surgery-related expenses
Follow-up appointments and medications
Basic living expenses during recovery
She’s a strong and resilient woman who has always been independent and hardworking. But right now, she needs her community to rally around her. Your kindness and generosity will not only ease the financial burden but also offer hope and stability as she works to heal and rebuild her life.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page with your friends, family, or social networks. Every little bit helps more than you know.
With deep gratitude,
Cheryl and Mark Weaver
