On the evening of June 9, 2025, Gene & Leah Kelley were riding their motorcycle near their home in Bedford County, PA. They were hit by a pick-up truck as they turned left onto a two-lane highway. Gene passed away quickly after the accident. Leah sustained multiple injuries. She went through abdominal surgery and a foot amputation in Altoona, and has been transported to Pittsburgh to receive care and surgery for her broken femur, hip, pelvis, and tailbone.
Gene & Leah’s three daughters Samantha, Alyssa, and Chelsea, are together in Pittsburgh supporting Leah. The recovery timeline and rehab process is not known at this time. The family will stay in Pittsburgh with Leah throughout her hospital stay and then determine the rest of the recovery plan.
