My name is Mike Rose and I am raising money for my niece Melissa Turner. She was admitted to Harris Methodist Hospital on May 2nd with a serious kidney infection and was septic. She was placed in ICU and was put on several medications and life support. Since her vital organs were in danger of shutting down, she was given a blood pressure medication that pulls the blood flow from the extremities to protect the organs. The side effect to this was the damage to the blood vessels in the extremities, that prevents the blood flow from returning.
This resulted in Melissa having to have her hands and her legs below the knees amputated. Melissa is strong and has strong family support, but this young lady has a long hard road ahead of her, and I am doing this to try to help ease some of that burden. I realize that some people just do not have the extra money to donate, but you may know someone who does. Please try to help her out if you can or reach out to someone you know that might be able to. This account is set up in her name, and with her current circumstances my brother and his wife will help her manage it.
